I just read a very good article about an old man who repaired typewriters during World War II and beyond. Very recommended.

For some reason, I really like old things that aren't "useful" anymore. I have a slide rule and a typewriter on my desk next to my multi-core, Internet connected computers. I'm not so much a pack-rat, I don't think (maybe consult with my wife on that question), I just like great things, no matter when in history they were considered great.

I spend so much time on the Internet, and yet I spend so little time at my blog. How do I expect to attract readers if I never write anything?

Fortunately, though, I'm about to launch a couple of features which are sure to bring the masses flocking: the Random Recipe Picker, for dealing with dinner after a long day, and the Save My Gremlin initiative. Lucky you, I'm going to post pictures and updates on how the restoration of my most favorite car from the list of all the cars I've ever owned. It's a short list.

I've finally decided to make something of myself. Give myself some direction. Purpose. Reason for being. My online self, anyway. BenjaminHowe.com is on it's way to becoming useful. For as much as I might hope, I can't say that I expect it to be all that useful to the vast majority of the Human family, but I'm going to make it useful for myself, anyway.
